Review:

Desire Untamed - Pamela Palmer

I am pretty sure that both characters at some point got fucked back to life after they died. Some people say they would be happy to go during sex. These guys will never experience that end. This takes the whole sex being good for health to a whole new level.

The missionaries...

I can't get them to stop coming. One day right after I got off of work these two women showed up at my house. Their car had broke down. My husband helped them get it going again. They told me they were missionaries. I told them I wasn't interested. My husband on the other hand told them he would like to start going to church... what the fuck was he thinking. Not that I have a problem with him wanting to go, I just can't get rid of these ladies. I entertained them one night thinking that would be the end of it, nope, they just knocked on my door again. Not happening, I'm sick, my house is a mess, I just can't, not tonight. How the he'll do I get rid of them?

Burgundy hair won't budge...

A while ago I wrote a post about my hair dye colors being switched at the store. Well cinnababerry was actually burgundy that some teenager thought it was hilarious to put in the box instead (I will one day find this teen and have my revenge). Well I tried to dye it again, it won't change colors. It's still burgundy! My roots changed colors, now I have an unintentional hombre going on. No, this can't work for me. Crap!

Atlantis Rising

Review:

I liked some of this, but not all of it.

In this we have a bunch of warriors from Atlantis. There are seven of them, I think. The female lead, Ripley, is a pretty great character. She's funny, been through a shifty time concerning work, has a connection to the ocean, and has one heck of a mouth, I liked her. The male character, in my opinion, was a bit flat. He had just, the same day, finally gotten away from seven years of torture from a sic, headed vampire goddess (I think she was a goddess, maybe queen). I feel he should have been a bit more reluctant, scarred internally, or something than the way he was written. The storyline was good, but at times I never thought the story was ever going to venture outside of a safehouse. There was a bit too much conversation going on for my liking. There was a good deal of bromance going on and i liked how there is already plot twists that will most definitely be the topic of focus for the second book. If this goes well, this could possibly be a reallly grezt series. The writing is decent and I have high hopes that this author will do better with other books in this series. All that said, this story was decent, and there is just enough that liked to get me to look at the next book... if it's available.

Finn Stavros didn't bother to wipe the blood from his blade before turning on another Akkadian demon emerging from the interior of the dark warehouse.

Why would he even bother wiping get his blade if he was stabbing another demon. I don't see why it is significant that he didn't wipe it. Huh?

Heart of Stone

Review:

Heart of Stone - Christine Warren

This is okay. I like the idea of gargoyles, which tissue not what these characters like being called, but whatever. I like the writing. What I wish it had was more characters, not something I usually ask for. The main characters were great, but there wasn't much more. I wanted more story, more world building. Again another series that may or may not be ccontinued base on whether the second book is available.

Dark Aw7

Review:

Dark Awakening - Kendra Leigh Castle

This was ok. I really liked the different kinds of vampires, some could shift into animals also, others to smoke, and their were some snobby ones who thought they were better because of their pure blood lineage,  mixed blood vamps are considered mutts of a sort. The characters are good too. I really liked some of them, but felt at times especially that they were flat. The writing is decent at best, but I have read one book further along and know that this author can do better than she did with this one. If the second book is available in will probably read it, if not no tears will be she'd and it will go to the tbr. I still have no clue why I keep a tbr shelf, I rarely choose books off of it.
